**Mexico Reaffirms Sovereignty Amid Rising Regional Rhetoric**

President Claudia Sheinbaum has issued a firm response to growing online speculation and political rhetoric about foreign intervention in Latin America, emphasizing that Mexico will not tolerate any breach of its sovereignty.

Speaking this week, Sheinbaum reiterated Mexico’s long-standing commitment to the principle of non-intervention, a cornerstone of its foreign policy. While no formal invasion threat has been issued by the United States, heightened tensions across the region—driven by conflicts, sanctions, and military posturing elsewhere—have fueled public concern and strong nationalist messaging on social media.

“Mexico is not any other country, and its future will be decided by Mexicans,” Sheinbaum said, underscoring that diplomacy, not force, must guide international relations. She also pointed to Latin America’s shared history of resisting external pressure and called for unity, dialogue, and respect for international law.

Government officials stressed that Mexico continues to maintain diplomatic channels with Washington and remains committed to cooperation on trade, migration, and security, while firmly rejecting any form of external interference in its internal affairs.

As regional tensions persist, analysts say Sheinbaum’s message is aimed as much at calming domestic fears as it is at signaling Mexico’s resolve to the international community: sovereignty is non-negotiable, and stability depends on mutual respect.
