Kansas City Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy Arrested For Choking Out A Family Member
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy was arrested on Friday night in Texas on a felony domestic violence charge. The arrest occurred in Williamson County, where Worthy, 21, was charged with assaulting a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation, commonly referred to as choking.
Worthy, a standout rookie who played college football at the University of Texas, was taken into custody by Williamson County deputies and remains in jail without bond. The Chiefs are aware of the situation and are gathering more information
This incident marks the second time a Chiefs wide receiver has encountered legal issues in Texas within the past year. Earlier, Rashee Rice was involved in a high-speed car crash and faced assault charges, although the charges were later dropped.
Fans have expressed disappointment over the repeated off-field issues involving Chiefs wide receivers. One fan noted, “They need to start kicking guys like this out of the league. It’s ridiculous.”
The Chiefs have yet to comment on Worthy’s arrest. The legal process will determine the consequences he may face, both legally and within the team.
