The White House has called the efforts ‘pathetic’ as Democrats push JD Vance to declare the president unfit to serve
What began as scattered online posts has evolved into a coordinated movement involving lawmakers, celebrities, and millions of Americans calling for the removal of Donald Trump and his entire cabinet.
The “No Kings” protest movement, growing demands for the invocation of the 25th Amendment, and unprecedented levels of political engagement online have converged into a nationwide push against the president.
The calls for action are crossing party lines. Former Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene labeled him “insane” and accused his supporters of being “complicit.” Senator Chris Murphy urged the cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, while Representative Yassamin Ansari called Trump “a deranged lunatic.” Even prediction markets are reflecting rising odds of a removal scenario.
Whether this mounting pressure will result in concrete action or simply deepen the country’s divisions remains uncertain. What is clear, however, is that the scale of the backlash is unlike anything seen in recent U.S. politics.
