HUMILIATING: A General tried to SAVE Trump from revealing classified information on live TV, but Trump STILL did it. This man is truly unhinged.
During Monday’s press conference on the rescue of two U.S. airmen in Iran, Donald Trump admitted not all of his military advisers agreed with the mission, saying there were very professional military people who preferred not doing it.
Trump then, unprompted, turned to Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Caine.
Trump: How many men did you send all together? Approximately? During the operation?
Caine: Uh… I’d love to keep that a secret.
The room of reporters erupted in laughter. Trump attempted to laugh along with him, to save his humiliation. Too late.
When the laughter died down, Trump couldn’t help himself, and he just blurted it out.
Trump: But I will tell you. I’ll keep it a secret, but it’s HUNDREDS. Hundreds of people. Forget about the equipment… Hundreds of people went into this journey. HUNDREDS of people could’ve been KILLED.
He was advised live not to say it. He said it — to a room full of reporters. The whole world heard it.
Not only did he give away the number, but his brag backfired — he bragged that he put hundreds of soldiers in danger, to rescue one. He risked their lives against the advice of his own advisors.
Now think about what information he gives out behind closed doors — to his billionaire friends. To the Saudis. To Putin.
The biggest threat to national security is the man in the White House.
