Philadelphia Public Schools Will Be Closed On Friday For Eagles Super Bowl Parade

In celebration of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory, the city has organized a grand parade on Friday, February 14, 2025. To allow students and staff to participate in the festivities, the School District of Philadelphia has announced that all public schools will be closed on that day.

The parade is set to commence at 11 a.m., starting near the South Philadelphia stadium complex. It will proceed through the city, culminating at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the team will descend the iconic “Rocky Steps” to address the crowd. The event is expected to draw over 1 million fans, making it a significant occasion for the city.

In addition to the School District of Philadelphia, several other educational institutions are closing to accommodate the celebrations. The Archdiocesan high schools in the city and suburban counties will be closed, while parish and regional Catholic elementary schools in the suburban areas will operate on schedules determined by local administration

For those planning to attend, it’s advisable to check local news outlets and official city communications for the latest updates on road closures, public transportation adjustments, and other event-related information.
