Princess Kate has made a significant and courageous decision to prioritize her family above her royal responsibilities, a stance she communicated clearly to King Charles. This revelation comes from royal author Robert Jobson in his new book, “Catherine: The Princess of Wales,” and was shared with Hello! Magazine.

Jobson details how the Princess of Wales informed both the late Queen and the then Prince of Wales (now King Charles) that her family would come first when defining her role within the royal family. “With her children, she made it very clear to both the late Queen and to the Prince of Wales, as he was – now the King – that she’s not going to be rushed into doing things that she doesn’t necessarily want to do,” Jobson stated.

This decision, Jobson notes, took considerable courage, as Kate navigates the often demanding and public life of a senior royal.

“That takes quite a lot of courage, because you’re in a very alien world,” he remarked.

The Princess of Wales is acutely aware of the unique position she holds and the limited time she has to nurture her young children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Jobson explains, “I think she realizes that she only has one shot at this.

She’s got three young children, and they have to come first.”

In conclusion, Princess Kate’s bold decision to prioritize her family over her royal duties is a testament to her character and her commitment to what truly matters.

It highlights the challenges and pressures faced by the royal family and sets a precedent for future generations.

As she continues to navigate her unique role, Kate’s courage and dedication to her family will undoubtedly remain a central and inspiring part of her legacy.
